The Department of Labor Bureau’s statistics revealed that by the end of this decade, country will be in need to thousands of medical professionals. The career counsellors, universities, school & colleges, Employment Newspapers, associated websites and other reliable sources, all are telling the same story, “coming years going to be the years of dental assistants, EKG technicians, Medical Assistants, Insurance Exam Technicians, Patient Care Technicians, Pharmacy Technicians, Phlebotomy Technician or Veterinary Technician,” and if you are preparing yourself to be one of those, you simply cannot overlook the importance of associated medical certifications that might not be included in the course you pursued earlier.

In this article, we will be discussing, why one should consider these medical certification as an important part of their promising career.
Why does medical certification become a must?

Irrefutably, there are heaps of vocational training institutes, high schools, community colleges, schools, universities and private institutes that offer training in these programs. However, not all of them offers hand on practice session i.e. on-site training in a professional environment. Having these medical certifications, where on-site training is provided also ensures the dedication of a contender for the field.

“These medical certifications are considered decisive in an applicant's selection,” “the candidates with these certifications are preferred over the candidates without these”as stated by U.S labor Bureau, Locum Tenens providers and employment agencies. They said that employers are more interested in interviewing candidates who have obtained this accreditation

In some states of America, these certifications are mandatory, which means one cannot practice the profession without having it; his candidature will be considered as void.

Furthermore, many of the above-mentioned medical profession’s certification requires timely update, which means they are valid only for a certain amount of time, say a year or so. After that, these certificates are treated as expired and a candidate needs to update it or re-certify it in order to continue his practice.

Quite a simple thing to understand, medical certifications saves time and entitles a candidate with an additive qualification. In case of re-certifications, these certifications acts like a sigh of relief, because if one is already working as a medical professional, he is not required to skip his work to take a course or test in the respective field.

Therefore, do check whether your resume is positive with these certifications; did you mentioned them in your curriculum vitae and if not, you have two options, either have those instantly or get ready to face some rejections.
